It’s another year where I’m lucky enough to go to the All-American Bowl in San Antonio.
This year’s Arizona group is pretty special: Saguaro’s Kelee Ringo, Salpointe Catholic’s Bijan Robinson & Lathan Ransom and Pinnacle’s Tosh Baker.
I went straight from the airport to their afternoon workout and here are a few things that I saw on Wednesday:
- Kelee Ringo certainly wants to show that his top cornerback rating in the country is no joke. I watched him on the field during one-on-ones take every chance he could to go up against a group of wide receivers full of top-flight talent. He certainly delivered and was laser-focused during each rep in practice.

- It’s cool to see Lathan Ransom and Bijan Robinson share a field one more time as teammates before they head off to college. Ransom said after practice how much of a blessing it was to represent Tucson and Arizona with his best friend on a national stage. These two stars have shared the field plenty over the years and are seemingly each other’s biggest fan. If you’ve seen a highlight run from Robinson, there’s a good chance Ransom is running with him and celebrating in-stride. Bijan was often the first one to greet Lathan as the Salpointe defense came off the field this year as well.
- Tosh Baker got rolled up on during Day 1 of practice and was not practicing on Wednesday. He said he is going to see later in the week how he is feeling and will try to take the field on Saturday if possible.
- Another player Arizonans should keep an eye on is LV Bunkley-Shelton. Like Ringo, the four-star wide receiver will announce his college decision during the game on Saturday and ASU has been making a push for him over the past few months. Bunkley-Shelton was very impressive in his one-on-one reps today. Pair him with Under Armour All-Americans Daniyel Ngata and Elihjah Badger, who are both ASU targets who will announce their decisions on Thursday, and this could be quite a group heading to Tempe if they choose the Devils.
